## FAQs

#### [How do I enroll?](#432fe4d27875bfdf4)

If you are interested in becoming a patient, please call the office or click the “ENROLL” button to send us an email indicating your interest. Our New Patient coordinator will then call you to arrange a 15-minute “meet and greet” visit to give you the opportunity to meet your doctor, ask questions about how our practice works and be sure our practice is a good fit for your needs and goals.

#### [Do I need to maintain healthcare insurance?](#7a72a2f2fda851f1e)

Yes. You will need to maintain health insurance for services like lab draws, radiology tests, specialist appointments and hospitalizations.

#### [What if I am hospitalized?](#61a42cc74bfa4c7d0)

Dr. Reese and Dr. Vilaythong will help to coordinate your care by communicating with your hospital team no matter where you are hospitalized. We maintain privileges at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital for courtesy visits.

#### [What if I get sick on weekends or after hours?](#c2bd5db6ff67bb0fe)

If you are sick, call us! We are available for urgent issues at all times.

#### [What is the financial investment to enroll?](#2a99b26097c9664e2)

Our current annual fee is $2200. This fee is subject to change.

#### [What does the fee cover?](#df1ac067deb57d726)

Our annual fee covers all office visits and in-house procedures such as injections, ECGs, breathing treatments, etc.

#### [Can I use my Healthcare Savings Account or my Flexible Spending Account to cover the fee?](#06fefe187ceb80409)

You MAY be able to use your HSA or FSA to cover the membership fee but you would have to check with your account administrator to confirm. In many circumstances, the fee is seen as a “membership” not a “medical service” and thus MAY not be covered.

#### [Are there payment plans available?](#35e340543c7fc106b)

The annual fee can be paid in one lump sum or by an automatically recurring monthly installment plan. Some Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts will allow you to use their funds for our services.

#### [What if I want to cancel my enrollment?](#b4adc3f4c4ffcc012)

Your enrollment is automatically terminated if you move out of the area or in the event of catastrophic circumstances such as death. Your enrollment fee will be refunded in a prorated amount.

#### [Can I submit charges to my insurance or Medicare for reimbursement?](#254a942e120f023dc)

No. Because the concierge fee is seen as a “membership” not a “medical service”, the fee cannot be reimbursed by insurance.

#### [What if I need to see a specialist?](#0a0cb42434007b110)

We maintain and extensive network of specialists in whom we have full confidence. We will also work with any specialists you are already seeing. Should you require a referral, we will communicate with the specialist to whom we have referred you. We will actively work to ensure an expedient appointment and continuity of care between us and your specialist.

#### [What should I bring with me to my first appointment?](#3cd2701c23d833128)

1. All medications in their original bottles
2. Any recent laboratory or radiology testing
3. A list of your current specialists (if any)
4. An updated vaccination log
5. An updated list of all surgeries
6. A list of the dates of your most recent screening exams such as mammograms, bone densities, pap smears, colonoscopy, prostate cancer screening tests, etc.

#### [What happens when you are out of the office?](#fd2eaefb519544dd7)

We are rarely out of the office, but if your physician is out of the office, your call will be forwarded to the covering physician. If in the very unlikely event that we are both out of the office, we will appoint another board-certified Internist to cover for the practice. You are never without a physician you can reach quickly.
